Class description

Do you need a creative break? Or would you like to gain initial experience with sound?

Regardless of whether you've never had clay in your hand before or have already sculpted a few pieces, in my ceramic studio, you have the opportunity to vividly implement your own ideas with individual support or to rework suggestions under guidance. I will teach you the basic techniques required to produce simple ceramics using construction technology, right down to the finished glazed piece. No previous experience is required. With this knowledge, you can continue your success at home. We work in construction technology (i.e. without a turntable) in a small group of max. 7 participants, so that there is enough space for each individual person. I offer various glazes for firing in an electric kiln. After the 2nd fire in the electric kiln, you can then pick up your finished works of art in the ceramic studio.

How does this activity work?

  • Date and time: The course takes place over a total of 3 days. On the first two days (intensive weekend), we will work on modelling the sound. The clay then needs 2 weeks to dry and is fired by me for the first time. The 3rd date is Glaze Day. If you can't make it to the third appointment, your finished glazed piece can also be sent to you. (plus glaze and shipping costs)
  • Individual support: Regardless of whether you are an absolute beginner or almost a professional - I will look after you according to your needs and give you the guidance you need. In my workshop, you have the opportunity to vividly implement your own ideas with individual support or to rework my suggestions under guidance.
  • Techniques and implementation: Teaching the basic techniques required to produce simple ceramics using construction technology (without a turntable), up to the finished glazed work of art.
  • Small group: We work in a small group with a maximum of 7 participants, so that there is enough space for each individual.
  • Firing and glazing: I offer different glazes for firing in an electric kiln (not raku firing). After the second fire in the electric kiln, you can then pick up your finished works of art from the ceramic studio.

Who should definitely take part?

The course is suitable for beginners as well as advanced learners. Everyone who wants to enjoy creative hours and create unique ceramic works of art is welcome.
