About this class
What can you expect at the Terrazzo Workshop in Hanover?
In this workshop, you will make a terrazzo object and become familiar with the versatile Jesmonite material. You will learn to pigment the material according to your individual color preferences and make your own terrazzo chips.
You will then mix your terrazzo mix with the base material and pour it into a mold. You can choose from different silicone shapes.
During the workshop, I will share my basic casting skills and guide you during the color selection process with my expertise.
After 20 minutes, the mass has hardened and you can unmold your object. Finally, you will sand the surface and work out the terrazzo. After you have sealed the object in a food safe way, you can take your workpiece home.
Work aprons and gloves are provided by me. Comfortable clothing that can also be worn is helpful. You don't need any previous knowledge.
The workshop lasts 3.0 — 3.5 hours with a short break in the middle while we wait for the workpieces to harden. Drinks and snacks will be provided during the break.
I hope you enjoy the course and look forward to your participation!
