Self-guided city game / scavenger hunt in Lüneburg

Explore Lüneburg by playing the city game ‘The breakthrough - Source of life’ directly with your smartphone. • Tickets: You only need 1 ticket per group (1-6 people) and You can hold the event at your desired time. You are not tied to the time specified by the booking.
• You can start whenever you want, even if you have booked a different time or day.
• Each group will play with 1 device. For groups of more than 6 people (maximum 50 people) you can buy 2 or more tickets. 
• You can book in advance or spontaneously.

You will first be introduced to the history of the salz trade in Lüneburg: 1396 in Lüneburg: A few years ago, the construction of the Stecknitz Canal began in order to bring the precious salt from Lüneburg to Lübeck in large quantities. By land, the horse-drawn carts take several weeks and can only carry 2 tons of salt each. But the canal construction was in danger of failing! Due to a trade war, Heinrich of Lüneburg had stones poured into the Elbe at the estuary of the canal to block the entrance! Now it's up to you to keep the peace and find a solution so that trade can continue to flourish and Lüneburg can prosper!

Work in a team (1-6 people per group) to solve the case. Are there more than 6 of you? Then we recommend splitting up into several small groups, otherwise experience has shown that not everyone is well integrated into the game. You can also test which group is the fastest! 

Use our city map to puzzle your way from station to station along the history trail. Solve the puzzles at the most beautiful sights in Lüneburg and at important points and find out more about the salt production in Lüneburg. It is part of the game to guess the individual stations of the city game. They are therefore not listed here. You have to look for clues at the stations to solve the puzzles. In this game, the focus is on the story and the puzzles, not on details about the historical history of the sights and the city.

Move at your own pace and take a break whenever you want. The duration is around 2 to 3 hours. The end is near the old town of Lüneburg near the salt museum.
